Urban screens (public screens, video walls) specialized in art are becoming more and more popular. They provide a welcome alternative to loud and aggressive commercials and advertisements.
Curators of these urban screens are always in search for good and original works for their screen program and invite artist to contribute. Artists produce works that often are specially made for only one of these urban screens. Most of these works have no sound and no story, no begin and no end. Passengers that walk by or drive by on a bike or in a car consume these works for urban screens in a particular way. Artists take this in account and produce works that have a particular quality.
